This role is a hands-on position for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in fast paced and collaborative environment. Our Online team have a passion for technology and digital services. Online is the fastest growing area of our business and in this team, you will be directly responsible in creating features and services that our online customers use.The Senior Front-End Developer is responsible for providing development, technical support, and user support for APG & Co’s eCommerce sites and marketplace channels. This position serves as the primary developer for the e-commerce platform and any other related technologies needed to support APG & Co’s digital channels for all brands: SABA, Sportscraft, JAG.Key ResponsibilitiesCore development on the APG & Co’s online solutionMaintenance and on-going enhancement of APG & Co’s Demandware platform and any corresponding integrations to 3rd parties service providers.Investigating, identifying and resolving production issues and bugsCollaborate with internal teams to understand new requirements and/or troubleshoot issuesCollaborate with external vendors/service suppliers to build and/or support our integrations points with external systemsReport progress and status of technical activities to Lead Developer and Head of Online. This includes the escalation of any issues that will impact the delivery of projectsPlan and estimate backlog items for sprint planningSelf-manage and prioritise work load to meet sprint cycles and project timelines.Develop and manage code changes which adhere to best practices set by Lead DeveloperDocumenting any technical designs or procedures into our internal knowledge baseBuild reusable code and libraries for future useSkills and Qualifications5+ year UI experience with HTML5 / CSS 3 / SASS / SMACSS / JavaScript / Ajax1+ year commercial working experience developing in React / Redux3+ year OOP experienceSolid understanding of Vanilla JavaScriptExperience in responsive and mobile web development Knowledge of web service technologies and standards (protocols, security, XML, Restful APIs and JSON etc)Experience with GIT source control and proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themBasic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an imageExperience with tagging and testing is highly regardedExperience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) is highly regardedStrong ability to balance multiple responsibilities and take initiativeAbility to perform in a fast paced and highly interactive team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem solving skillsFlexible, team oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and passionateAPG & Co CultureThe culture at APG & Co is believing in one team, being passionate, clear and simple.
