Reporting to Head of Knitwear, the Knitwear Assistant Design Developer will be responsible for executing and delivering product developed offshore that meets the designer intent, APG & Co’s high-quality standard, target margin and delivery. APG & COA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. APG & Co values working as a collective, thriving on change, and playing to win. We are built to last. The Role This broad, wide ranging role will be across our brands, SABA, Sportscraft Womenswear & Menswear.Key responsibilities will include;Work closely with Head of Knitwear to source/develop yarn/trims and product inspiration in line with the design vision & price targetsCreate and manage design trackerAssisting with design sketches, coloured CADS and range board creationDaily communication with vendors to ensure all samples are accurate and received on timeCommunicating with factories direct on knit down and sample requestsAttend weekly design and production WIPDaily management of PLM systemManagement of approvals and filingProduction management of all direct orders; ensuring all orders are delivered on time in fullYouMust be highly detail oriented, organized, have the ability to set standards and execute, as well as have priority and follow through skills, ensuring deadlines are met and critical path is maintained.Be responsible with a make it happen attitudeBe able to make decisions under tight deadlinesClear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skillsHas a relevant background and/or qualifications in Design, Production or similarSkilled in Adobe Creative Suite – especially Photoshop and IllustratorHas 2 years + experience in similar roleAP21 experience preferred but not required Where do I sign?This full-time role is based in our stunning head offices in Alexandria.
