Assistant Planner – JAG

We are recruiting for an all-round awesome Assistant Planner to join our talented team! You will play a pivotal support role to the Planning team in maximising sales through effective planning, quantification, analysis, and proactive management of financials. This will include forecasting projections for ongoing ranges, achieving ongoing in stock targets and calculating size curves by product hierarchy.  This role seeks to provide the Planning Team with insightful reporting & analysis in order to improve productivity at all levels.Planning across a growing category means you need to be a strong and confident stakeholder manager who can network, engage with and foster relationships across the business. APG & Co values working as a collective, thriving on change, and playing to win. We are built to last.The RoleAnalysis of department, class, sub-class and product performance to identify trends, and what action needs to be takenManagement of stock holdings to minimise inefficient stockDevelop exit strategies for slow moving linesEnsure store and online performance is maximised through accurate stock levels and regular stock deliveries Raising and managing seasonal retail ordersPost-seasonal review and performance analysisAdvise Buying on basics range rationalisation through forecasting and analysisAchieve business objectives through analysis, reporting & measurement of sales, margin and inventoryTo ensure all reports required are supplied in a timely manner with relevant insightsOptimise Return on Investment through inventory management at store levelStock management using Allocation tool to select appropriate stores and weeks cover in line with department plans and business strategyLiaising with key external and internal stakeholders to ensure all allocation deadlines are metMaintain delivery schedules to drive intake and allocation decisionsManagement of Core and Seasonal stock allocationsWork with Planner to produce appropriate sizing ratios for seasonal useManage targeted store stocks (models) of all productsRun replenishment twice weeklyIssue Consolidation Reports on styles when necessaryItem registration and Purchase Order managementDuring product range review process, assist planning admin assistant in the raising of purchase orders, item registration and amendments as required YouWe are looking for someone who wants a career in Planning. The Role

  • Analysis of department, class, sub-class and product performance to identify trends, and what action needs to be taken
    • Management of stock holdings to minimise inefficient stock
    • Develop exit strategies for slow moving lines
    • Ensure store and online performance is maximised through accurate stock levels and regular stock deliveries 
    • Raising and managing seasonal retail orders
    • Post-seasonal review and performance analysis
    • Advise Buying on basics range rationalisation through forecasting and analysis
    • Achieve business objectives through analysis, reporting & measurement of sales, margin and inventory
    • To ensure all reports required are supplied in a timely manner with relevant insights
    • Optimise Return on Investment through inventory management at store level
    • Stock management using Allocation tool to select appropriate stores and weeks cover in line with department plans and business strategy
    • Liaising with key external and internal stakeholders to ensure all allocation deadlines are met
    • Maintain delivery schedules to drive intake and allocation decisions
    • Management of Core and Seasonal stock allocations
    • Work with Planner to produce appropriate sizing ratios for seasonal use
    • Manage targeted store stocks (models) of all products
    • Run replenishment twice weekly
    • Issue Consolidation Reports on styles when necessary
    • Item registration and Purchase Order management
    • During product range review process, assist planning admin assistant in the raising of purchase orders, item registration and amendments as required

    We are looking for someone who wants a career in Planning.
