As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company results and its various entities results.The primary objective of the role is to prepare robust, accurate and timely financial information, reports, and statements for management, the Board and executive committees.This role specialises at preparing and analysing financial information at a Brand and Divisional level overseeing all financial aspects of the operations as well as internal stakeholder engagement to drive effective outcomes.We are seeking someone with a positive drive and willingness to get the job done! Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as possess strong organisation skills as strict deadlines are paramount.Candidate must also have experience with ERP system experience, Apparel 21 experience would be an advantage. APG & COA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. APG & Co values working as a collective, thriving on change, and playing to win. We are built to last.The RolePreparation of financial information for Management and BoardFinancial analysis and interpretation to drive optimal business outcomesContribute to the budgeting processes to monitor, control and evaluate costs, revenues and cash flowsPartner with various internal stakeholders to review monthly results and drive financial performanceProcessing month end journals to produce the month end results as well as reconciling and verifying entries and comparing to expectationsMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet control including reconciliations.Develop and maintain strong internal controls regarding the performance of the month end process and reporting outputsProvision of technical accounting expertise and adviceRisk and audit responsibilities, including managing the relationship with the External AuditorsAutomation and enhancement of business processes and reporting outputsProviding support to the Senior Financial Accountant YouProfessional certification in accounting - CA or CPA.Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or related field.Previous experience in a month end-based role preferredExcel - Intermediate/Advanced levelAttention to detail and high level of accuracyAble to demonstrate initiative and be ready to innovate and challenge.Hands-on problem solving acumen and ability to identify efficiencies and provide pragmatic solutionsEffective written and listening communication skills with ability to build relationship with stakeholders internally and externally.Forward-thinking ability to work under pressure and with deadlines.Demonstrated ability in identifying and successfully delivering process improvement.Act with honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility.Where do I sign?This full-time role is based in our stunning head offices in Alexandria.
