We have an incredible opportunity for a Knitwear Product Developer & Quality Technician to assist the Knitwear design team across our three brands Sportscraft, SABA & JAG. You will work on:Sourcing and developingCarry out the QA function for the brand in line with best practiceEnsuring all garments produced for the brand satisfy agreed quality standards in terms of fit, knit construction, detailing, performance and workmanshipThe role is 3 days per week. APG & CoA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. We are built to last. The RoleDesign ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Head of Knitwear to source/develop yarn/trims/knit downsCreate and manage design tracker/FISAssisting with sketching, CADS and range board creation and maintenanceArtworks setup and follow throughDaily communication with vendors directly to ensure all samples are accurate and received on timeLiaise with factories directly on knit down and sample development requestsManagement of approvals and filing QA ResponsibilitiesCarry out fit process in line with business requirement on both live model and mannequinsUpkeep status of styles on company PLM system on your specific tasksEnsure all communication between Sydney and vendors are aligned in format and is accurate, clear and timelyWork with Buying and suppliers to achieve Critical Path deadlinesLog quality issues and escalate appropriatelyReview Test reports and ensure all testings fall within the Company standards and assign care instructionsWork with Design & Quality Manager to improve garments while controlling costsSocial ResponsibilityBe aware of new technologies and their effect on the environmentStore visits and reviewsAttend stores regularly to see product and hear feedback firsthand.Establish effective methods of collecting customer/staff feedback at store level to enable improvements.Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain productive relationship with Brand Process, Buying, Design, Technical team & Vendors and align procedures for consistency.  YouKnowledge in manufacturing, production process and constructionGraduate in fashion/design2 - 5 years of experience in the industry specialising in fashion knitwear and knowledge on both woven & jersey garments in fit & constructionExperience in dealing with offshore offices / Supply ChainProven track record for delivery of KPI’sPersonable, willingness to learn new technology and able to work in a team environment Where do I sign? As part of the APG family you'll enjoy plenty of exciting rewards and benefits.50% discount on all brandsFlexible working - hybrid of work from home and in our beautiful officesTrue work / life balance, including 4pm Friday finishBirthday leaveCulture Club - monthly social events, monthly morning tea and moreAn Employee Assistance Program for you and your familyPaid Parental LeaveRecognition and Service awardsEmployee Referral Program Style your career in a new direction - apply now and join our talented team.
