We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join our passionate and collaborative People & Culture team and support the delivery of the people strategy to drive our brands and business results. You will be the go-to on all People & Culture related matters for our amazing retail network.Reporting to the GM of People & Culture, this role will be responsible for supporting and enabling our business leaders to effectively manage and support their teams and provide generalist HR support and advice to our employees to support them in all aspects of their employment.This role requires you to own and support HR projects and initiatives and the ability to solve business problems with a focus on the engagement, development and performance of our people. Your insights will shape our culture, policies and practices, ensuring our team thrives.The role is available on a 4 - 5 day week, depending on your preference.APG & CoA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. The Role

  • Provide coaching and advice to our managers and employees in relation to the management of all things people, including:

    • Engagement & retention
    • Award interpretation / employment law & company policy obligations
    • Performance Management
    • Disciplinary actions 
    • Talent development
    • Grievance handling and conflict resolution
    • Workers Compensation / injury management
    • Recruitment
    • Payroll, remuneration & benefits
  • Support, own and execute People & Culture projects and initiatives
  • Partner with leaders (in Head Office and our store network across Australia and New Zealand) and take accountability for the effective delivery of people strategies
  • Contribute to HR strategies via the development and delivery of HR process improvements, training, communications, compliance initiatives and general HR projects to support our commitment to continuous improvement in people strategies and people experiences
  • HR reporting & data analysis - use data driven insights to make decisions and recommendations 

 

You

  • 4 years’ experience working in a HR Coordinator or Advisor role providing advice across a range of employee relations matters, in a fast-paced organisation (preferably retail)
  • Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Human Resources or related degree highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to support and challenge as required
  • A trusted adviser with a confident approach 
  • Experience in interpreting, understanding and applying awards, HR processes and policies across the employee lifecycle
  • The natural capacity to be resilient, optimistic and fun to work with, even under pressure
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned to the company strategy
  • Demonstrated problem solving, advisory and coaching skills
