Reporting to Head of Product, our Product Developer is responsible for executing and delivering product developed offshore that meets the designer intent, APG & Co’s high quality standard, target margin and delivery.This broad, wide ranging role will be across all product categories of SABA Menswear.APG & CoA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. APG & Co values and expects authentic, courageous, driven team players. Key ResponsibilitiesSource fabric/trims and product inspiration in line with the design vision & price targetsWork closely with design team on recommendations of qualities and vendors based on the design visionWork closely with the Technical team at development stage to ensure fabric meet our strict testing standardsWork hand-in-hand with Head of Development to ensure that the correct suppliers are selected in line with the company global sourcing strategiesResponsible for all product costings, finding solutions to ensure all product hits target margins yet remains within the design vision and our high quality standardsMaintain supplier relationships, helping maximize margins and help facilitate growth for the brand, always focusing on win/win relationships for both partiesCreate and manage weekly WIP and update key stakeholders of any potential delays or risk to the product developmentNegotiate costs with vendors to ensure margin requirements are met at style and category level and Complete costing documents for sign-offItem registration, CAD sketches, Trend research and trend board creationPartner with Design team, attending all fit sessions and communicating comments with the supplierYou5 years + of professional experience in similar roleHighly detail oriented, organised, have the ability to set standards and execute, as well as have priority and follow through skills, ensuring deadlines are met and critical path is maintainedBe responsible with a make it happen attitudeAble to make decisions under tight deadlinesHave a design background and/or Degree qualified in Design, Production, Textile or similarExperienced in dealing with offshore suppliers and factoriesStrong knowledge of the product cycle and product development timelines and productionAble to travel overseas frequentlyMandarin language skills preferred, but not requiredClear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills Where do I sign?This full-time role is based in our stunning head offices in Alexandria.
