Production Manager – Sportscraft

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Production Manager to lead and manage the full scope of production and global sourcing operations for Sportscraft. This role is instrumental in ensuring all products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards—while staying aligned with the brand’s creative vision and sustainability goals.As a key member of the brand’s leadership team, you will report directly to the General Manager and work in close partnership with the Design Director, Planning Team, Production Team and Group GM of Supply Chain & Logistics. We are built to last.  The RoleProduction ManagementOversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from design handover to bulk delivery, including day-to-day management of purchase order (PO) uploads, handling delivery delays, and executing PO amendments as required.Manage the critical path to ensure on-time delivery across multiple seasonal collections.Monitor production timelines, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and lead communication between internal teams and external partners.Continuously improve processes across sourcing, development, and production to increase speed to market while maintaining the highest quality standards.Sourcing StrategyDevelop and implement a comprehensive sourcing and product development strategy in collaboration with the Design Director, General Manager, and Group GM of Supply Chain.Align sourcing decisions with brand objectives around design, quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability.Analyse production performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, lead time reduction, and vendor performance improvement.Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with both new and existing global vendors, mills, and manufacturers.Ensure sourcing strategies support a flexible, ethical, and resilient global supply base.Costing and Budget ControlCollaborate with design, merchandising, and finance teams to establish seasonal cost frameworks and manage target margins.Lead cost negotiations with vendors to maximise value while upholding product quality.Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of production budgets, cost of goods, and margin performance.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all production meets or exceeds Sportscraft’s high quality and fit standards.Oversee timely placement and management of purchase orders in line with production capacity and brand guidelines.Ensure all partners comply with the company’s ethical, social, and environmental policies and standards.Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve product or process-related issues early in the cycle.Team CollaborationOversee adherence to the production calendar and critical path to ensure seasonal milestones are met.Mentor and support both internal and offshore teams, enhancing knowledge and implementation of best practices in sourcing and development.Drive continuous improvement by reviewing workflows and implementing more efficient systems and structures.Sustainability & InnovationPartner with the Group Sustainability Manager to execute a sourcing strategy that champions ethical and sustainable practices.Embed social and environmental goals into sourcing, production, and development projects.Identify and implement sustainable material innovations that align with both customer expectations and brand values. YouA strategic thinker with a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.Highly collaborative and adaptable, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong fabric knowledge and a background in design or product development is highly desirable, due to the close partnership with the Design Director.Proven experience working with both CMT (Cut, Make, Trim) and FOB (Free on Board) production models and fabric management.Proven experience managing offshore manufacturing across key regions including Vietnam, China, Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh.Outstanding negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.  Where do I sign?As part of the APG family you'll enjoy plenty of exciting rewards and benefits.50% discount on all brandsTrue work / life balance, including 4pm Friday finishBirthday leaveCulture Club - monthly social events, monthly morning tea and moreAn Employee Assistance Program for you and your familyPaid Parental LeaveRecognition and Service awardsEmployee Referral ProgramStyle your career in a new direction - apply now and join our talented team. The Role

Production Management
