The Senior Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the seasonal product direction for JAG, delivering cohesive collections that balance creativity, commerciality, and brand DNA.
Reporting to the GM of JAG, this role will work closely with the Product & Sourcing Manager to connect creative vision with operational excellence. Together, these roles will ensure that JAG product is designed with clarity, delivered with precision, and aligned with business goals.
The ideal candidate will bring a confident creative point of view, a strong understanding of womenswear design, denim, and the ability to translate global trends into the JAG aesthetic while respecting our heritage to bring the brand’s core message to life: JAG invites you to make life count by making big impressions out of everyday moments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Direction & Brand Identity
- Deliver cohesive seasonal collections across womenswear, grounded in JAG’s DNA: denim innovation, better basics and attitude.
- Define seasonal design direction across colour, fabric, silhouette, and print.
- Lead the development of capsule collections and collaborations.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure storytelling reflects JAG’s design direction and positioning.
- Champion responsible and intelligent design that reinforces quality and longevity.
2. Product Strategy & Range Development
- Build seasonal ranges in partnership with the Product & Sourcing Manager and Planning team, ensuring depth, width, and balance across categories.
- Balance newness with core/continuity styles to drive both excitement and consistency.
- Focus on denim and key buildable wardrobe categories
- Support category growth strategies aligned with margin and sales targets.
3. Process & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Product & Sourcing Manager to align design decisions with margin, sourcing, and production goals.
- Work with VM, Retail, and E-Commerce to ensure product narratives come to life across all channels.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows, sampling, and approvals.
4. Innovation & Sustainability
- Research and translate global trends, fabrics, and design innovation into JAG’s aesthetic.
- Partner with sourcing and suppliers to explore innovative materials and processes.
5. Leadership & Culture
- Mentor and guide junior designer and graphic designers to deliver on creative briefs.
- Foster a collaborative, curious, and commercially aware design culture.
- Contribute to building cross-functional trust and alignment within the JAG team.
You
- 5+ years experience in womenswear design, ideally with denim and cut’n’sew expertise.
- Strong creative point of view.
- Proven ability to deliver cohesive seasonal collections from concept to customer.
- Strong fabric knowledge.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and inspire.
