Reporting into Head of Brand this cross functional role will oversee all areas of the merchandise plan. Major responsibilities include delivery of financial targets with end-to-end ownership, from development of product strategy up to ensuring product can be sold to our customers through the season, managing the OTB with a balanced range, optimising inventory & sales.APG & CoA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. APG & Co values working as a collective, thriving on change, and playing to win. We are built to last.The RoleIn conjunction with Head of Brand, develop and manage the seasonal merchandise strategy, range, and options plans to achieve financial plans across all categories.Set, manage, and achieve critical financial targets such as sales, Stock turn, OTB, sell through and Gross Profit.Analyse historical trends, identifying opportunities to drive sales, margin and stockturn.Provide quantitative (data) and qualitative (trend) research to determine seasonal assortments and promotional strategies.In conjunction with Design create customer centric seasonal assortment plans, applying hindsight analysis to support sound buying decisions to build an efficient and profitable range, balancing the commercial product needs with the seasonal design direction.Manage core merchandise planning processes; range plan, buy quantity, delivery phasing, stock levels and implement markdown/discounting activities which maximise our exit position (GP%) to determine seasonal buying and aide marketing activities.Identify essential lines, analyse their performance, and forecast sales potentialManage in-season and post-season performance, to identify best practice, lessons learnt, and improve performance across pricing architecture, product assortment and tweaking where necessary to maximise category potential.Manage effective replenishment/Inventory management – balance between stores and warehouse in line with sales plan to capture sales opportunities whilst minimising costs within supply chain.Set store grading strategy and review store performance, analysis, and model stocksManagement of product lifecycle for the team, always ensuring data integrity.Identify and implement best practices to ensure effective use of time and maximum output in the team.Maintain effective relationships with Key stakeholders within Retail Brand divisions i.e. Finance, retail, product, marketing and digital teamsLeadership and team management – motivates and coaches’ team to achieve goals through effective and consistent performance management conversations with succession plans in place YouA strong understanding of competitive landscape and trendsIn depth knowledge of planning and practices pertaining to the retail industryProficient in Systems knowledge – Excel, AP21Experience working in a similar role for at least 5 years.Ability to work in an agile, high-pace and changing environment, react appropriately and efficiently, and identify solutionsCommunicates effectively complex concepts to a broad level of stakeholders.Interprets and actions findings of complex data and analytics to improve the businessAbility to build and leverage relationships across the business.Able to work collaboratively, take on feedback and switch gears quickly and seamlesslyConfident and effective communicator with an ability to influence the broader business and drive key decision makingProvide leadership through coaching, mentoring and regular feedback to direct reportsTakes a strategic and customer orientated perspective to the businessAnalytical thinker with an acute eye for productAttention to detail and time management skills.Strong negotiating and influencing skillsHighly developed numerical skills, including accuracy and interpretation.A good understanding of general fashion retail principlesStrong numerical and & analytical skillsAble to navigate confidently through systems and proactively problem solve Where do I sign?This full-time role is based in our stunning head offices in Alexandria and/or work from from.
