This is a senior leadership role for an experienced, well-seasoned, fashion retailer who is responsible for executing the strategy and structure of the Sportscraft brand, staying true to the brand vision and pillars.The GM of Sportscraft also forms part of the Senior Leadership Team for APG & Co. The Organisation has 3 brands (Sportscraft, Saba & Jag) each working with shared services for the group being finance, sourcing, operations, and HR. Sportscraft is an Australian fashion brand, since 1914 and our vision is to continually evolve, develop and grow its classical heritage across Men’s, Women’s and Childrenswear. The RoleSTRATEGYSTRATEGY Ensure a clear strategy and direction for the brand acknowledging our existing customer, and the development of a new customer base in line with Board approval and keeping in line with the Brand DNA.PRODUCT Execution of improved product, assortment, trends, fabrication and silhouette continually repositing the SC brand to be more desirableGROWTH Identify and deliver on new opportunities for growth (e.g. new categories, marketing activities, collaborations)MARKETING & CREATIVE Lead the development and execution of creating marketing and sales strategies to increase brand awareness, brand consideration and customer acquisition, and the creation of creative assets to support these strategiesTRADE Driving sales by trading stock to ensure best return in investment and retaining healthy covers.BRANDPRODUCT Continually upgrade the product with the design teamPURCHASING & PRICING Manage all purchasing, planning, pricing and inventoryCULTURE AND CAPABILITYCreate and cultivate a high performing team by having clear direction and alignment for each team memberEnsure all brand team members have a constructive working relationship with cross functional teamsTreat the development and mentoring of team members as a priorityBe a proactive and collaborative member of the APG & Co executive team Key Performance IndicatorsDevelopment and implementation of strategy to achieve agreed FY25 targetsContinued improvement in brand healthPerformance improvement in key operational metrics (customer transactions, sales productivity and stock turn)Achievement of annual financial KPI’s (sales, gross margin.
