The Quality Technician - Knitwear will carry out the QA function for the brand in line with best practice. You will ensure all garments produced for the brand satisfy agreed quality standards in terms of fit, construction, detailing, performance, and workmanship.APG & COA leader in the Australian fashion industry, APG & Co designs and manages Sportscraft, SABA and JAG. APG & Co values working as a collective, thriving on change, and playing to win. We are built to last.The Role Process Management of QA processCarry out fit process in line with business requirement on both live model and mannequinsUpdate status of styles on company PLM system on QA specific tasksEnsure all communication between Sydney Teams and offshore offices is aligned in format and is accurate, clear, and timely.Build efficient working relationships with Buying, Design, Product Development, Merchandisers, Garment technicians and Pattern Makers to achieve critical Path deadlines.Log quality issues and escalate appropriately  Quality and Standards Management Reinstate the requirements for Garment Performance and constructionIdentify on-going Implementation of improvements to construction/performance.Follow the Brands QA/QC Standards Manuals for Garments & Grading Standards Manual to ensure factories are grading in line with Retail Brands requirements.Bench marking against international Brands with similar core values / Standards to APG & CoEnsure Garment/Accessories standards are achievedAbility to review Test reports and ensure all testings fall within the Company standards and assign care instructions accordinglyBe aware of changes in labeling standards in line with government regulations.Work with Design & Technical Manager to improve garments while reducing costs. Store visits and reviewsEstablish effective methods of collecting customer/staff feedback at store level to enable improvements of the QA process. YouKnowledge in Fully Fashioned true knit manufacturing production process and construction5+ years working industry experience in both Fully Fashioned true knitwear and woven garments in fit & constructionExperience in establishing QA standards for a Premium BrandExperience in dealing with offshore offices, Factories and Supply ChainEnjoys working inside established processes and disciplines, always with a focus on improvement Where do I sign?This full-time role is based in our stunning head offices in Alexandria.
