Description of Role Utilise your corporate treasury experience to join a trans-tasman organisation and iconic Australian apparel brand!As the Senior Treasury Accountant, you will provide advice and support to a diverse range of business groups.  The role requires both a strategic and long-term view of the treasury function as well as maintaining a hands-on approach.The Senior Treasury Accountants’ responsibilities includes advising on business transactions and future operating proposals, maintaining cashflow forecasts, foreign currency exposure modelling, bank reconciliation and recognition of key transactions as well as managing the external banking relationship. The role is also responsible for recommending treasury strategies to senior management.  An exciting further aspect includes process improvement projects to create efficiencies within treasury as well as across the wider finance team. We are seeking someone who is a highly collaborative, works with integrity and is a proven performer with a passion and drive to get the job done!Strong communication skills are essential to this role, enabling the engagement of a broad stakeholder group. You would also be encouraged to be actively involved and contribute to executive meetings and forums.This role is a maternity cover placement for 6 months.  Key Skillset and ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and managing the organisation's banking relationships, treasury operations as well as working capital and liquidity.Daily cash management as well as executive reporting to management and BoardEffective foreign currency exposure management as well as the development of risk mitigation strategiesForecasting of medium and long-term debt funding as well as hedging requirementsManage the external banking and foreign currency provider relationships including escalation of issuesPreparation and submission of covenant reporting requirements as well as monitoring of fees and charges.Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to deliver business outcomesDemonstrated level of interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills including written and oral mediums.Adherence to deadlines as well as management of multiple deliverables in fast pacedOngoing monitoring and development of treasury strategies and recommending decisions to senior management and Audit Committee  Knowledge & Experience·         Professional certification in accounting - CA or CPA. Part- qualification will also be considered·         Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Taxation, or related field.·         3- 5 years + professional experience as well as previous experience in a performing treasury responsibilities, within Australia and/or New Zealand·         Excel - Intermediate/Advanced level·         Proven experience implementing systems, process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives Personality & Competencies Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environmentAttention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong treasury acumen as well as time management and organisation skills.  Demonstrated ability to prioritise and delegate tasksForward-thinking ability to work under pressure and within set deadlines.Able to demonstrate initiative and be ready to innovate and challenge.
