Known for its quality and craftsmanship, APG & Co sources the best fabrics from Europe and around the world.Sportscraft; A pillar of quintessential Australian style since 1914, we offer style and quality in everything we do - and we’d like you to be a part of our fashion history.Reporting to the Senior Designer, an opportunity has come up for an Assistant Designer to help support our Sportscraft Design team.Key responsibilities include:Updating design boards & line sheets as requiredCommunication of approval for production requirements e.g. lab dips/trims as directed by the DesignerAssist and contribute with the design & style directivesContinue to be aware of Sportscraft stores & also Sportscraft competitorsContribute to product attributes meeting Sportscraft standards in terms of quality, fit, comfort workmanshipWork with designer on sourcing & utilising fabrics that meet Sportscraft requirementsWork effectively with all members of the team, both internally & external suppliers & Shanghai officeSample maintenanceFabric and colour library maintenanceAssist and support in other duties as required & directed by the Senior DesignerThe successful candidate will have; Tertiary qualifications in Textiles and Design2+ years experience in a commercial design environment High level of Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopIdeally you will have Menswear experienceCAD knowledgeTrend analysisFabricationStrong product development experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsEye for detailHigh level of organization skills APG & Co CultureThe culture at APG & Co is believing in one team, being passionate, clear and simple.
